Wharf gangway linked to river

THE gangway on Koondrook’s new Murray River wharf has been moved into place, effectively linking the river to the bank.

On-shore ground work is continuing as the $2 million project nears completion.

It is being constructed adjacent to Apex Park and in the vicinity of a former wharf.

The wharf is being built by a specialist maritime construction firm with red gum timber from the adjacent local sawmill, Arbuthnot Sawmills, being used on the decking and uprights.
