Blues ahead in CMFNL

KERANG remains a game clear on the Central Murray Football Netball League ladder after a 32-point victory over third side Nyah-Nyah West United.

The Blues bounded out of the blocks to kick six goals to three on their home turf, but could manage just another two behinds heading into half time.

The Demons emulated their opponents with open run-on football but couldn’t stop the home side scoring.

The visitors were held to just one goal in the last term as the league leaders consolidated their lead.

Second side Koondrook-Barham were shocked by Tooleybuc-Manangatang, but remain a game clear on the ladder from United.

The fourth placed Saints were on a mission when they headed over the border. They outscored the Raiders in the first term and extended their lead at each break.

Cohuna Kangas again scored over a team above them, ending Lake Boga’s finals hopes with a decisive 35-point victory away from home.

Swan Hill resurrected some pride with an 85-point win over lowly Balranald.

Two rounds remain before finals.
