THE Rotary Club of Kerang is once again holding the annual Easter Art Show, which is expected to feature in excess of 400 works by more than 100 artists.
Club president, Annette Kelly invites everyone with an interest in art and local entertainment to attend the Riverside Park stadium in Maxwell Street at some time over Easter.
The gala opening night is on Good Friday evening, April 14, between 7pm and 10pm.
The show will be officially opened by Rotary District 9780 District Governor Stephen Lamont, the announcement of the winner of the highly sought after Shire of Gannawarra Art Acquisition Award by the Mayor, Cr Brian Gibson.
Art show awards will be announced by judge, artist and tutor, Julie Goldspink. The gala opening night will be the first opportunity to view and make a purchase with complimentary wine and light supper provided in the admission cost of $15. All welcome.
The art show continues on Easter Saturday, April 15, between 10am and 6pm and Easter Sunday, April 16, between 10am and 3pm at a minimal general entry cost of $7.
Mrs Kelly said that the club was again encouraged with the interest shown by artists from our local regions, throughout country Victoria and the metropolitan area.
“As has been for the previous 14 years, the display of extremely high standard of art on display is a huge credit to the very talented artists and Rotary is merely providing the cultural experience for the general public to view and the opportunity to make a purchase in a comfortable environment,” she said.
“The art show will again showcase our local area artists and their many talents that are becoming well known in our region.”
