Rhythm resonated

MUSICAL enjoyment was celebrated at a gathering of more than 150 district school children.

Students from schools within the Shire of Gannawarra were joined by children from schools at Pyramid Hill, Boort, Lake Boga and Swan Hill for the second annual Rhythm and Voice workshops and performance.

Bendigo-based music education specialists, Peter Butler and Jenny Heinrich facilitate the sessions as part of a Kerang Music Society initiative to get the district’s children interested in music.

The highlight of the program will be a public concert featuring a variety of performances, ending with a massed choir item.”This event is intended to provide a local music performance opportunity for primary children and it is hoped that it can become an annual event,” Kerang Music Society president, Angela Ginnivan said.
