Ski racing returns

SOME of Victoria’s best ski racing teams will converge on Lake Charm tomorrow and Sunday for the third round of the Ski Racing Victoria points series – which doubles as the Victorian Titles.

The event was originally scheduled to occur on the first weekend of December, but one of the wettest Decembers days on record forced organisers to postpone the competition to a new time.

Individual and tandem competitions will occur across both days, with boats able to travel at more than 100 kilometres per hour, depending on water and wind conditions.

More than 350 participants from across the State will take to the four-kilometre circuit, with spectators able to watch on from vantage points around the lake.

The major spectator point will be next to the Kerang-Lake Charm Power Boat Club headquarters, where there will be food stalls and equipment on sale.
