Real estate agency’s work recognised

A LOCAL real estate agency and agent have been recognised at First National Real Estate’s industry awards.

First National’s highest achievers were presented with their national general excellence and marketing awards at the network’s national convention, held at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The black-tie awards dinner brought national recognition to Australia’s 2023 top salespeople, property managers and administrators, and attracted more than 380 delegates from Australia, New Zealand and Vanuatu.

The event capped a year of operational challenges for agents due to the rental supply crisis and 13 increases in interest rates, according to First National Real Estate Charles L King & Co Cohuna Barham principal Rohan Ibbs.

“First National Real Estate leveraged its not-for-profit cooperative model, working collaboratively between offices to assure good results were still achieved for our customers, whether they were leasing, buying or selling,” Mr Ibbs said.

“By working collaboratively to match customers to homes, we managed to continue to deliver excellence.”

On the night, Charles L King & Co Cohuna Barham received an award for the highest rural sales, while Alan Mitchell won the highest rural salesperson award.

Mr Ibbs said the awards were an important event as they present an opportunity for the network’s membership to come together and celebrate achievements

“Participating in a business agenda assures professional development that delivers industry best practice for customers,” he said.

“I thank our amazing team for the hard work they have done in allowing us to achieve these awards, it is wonderful achievement for such a small office.”
