Black Duck Jackpot 2 Bowl Triples, played on Tuesday, October 1.

Thirty-six bowlers played in perfect conditions.

Two game winners were S Pascoe, D Randell and P Basile on +25.

Second game winners were E Fenton, J McLeish and A Hancock on +9.

The jackpot number drawn was -10. It was not claimed. Next week’s jackpot is $285.

If you would like to join in the fun of Black Duck, have your name in by 11am for a 12.30pm start.

Saturday pennant season starts on October 5 and Midweek on October 9.

Bowls has commenced and Pennant is about to start, so dust off your bowls and prepare to play Pennant. Please check the notice board for tournaments and Championships. Peg Coad Day is Thursday October 24.

The club held its opening day on the public holiday, Friday, October 27 in conjunction with our annual practice match against Lake Boga Bowls Club.

Lake Boga prevailed over the nine rinks by seven shots.

Congratulations to Lake Boga who retain the shield, which was presented by president Nick Jarman to Lake Boga president Rod Wickham.

Kerang Golf’s best winning rink was Andey Jeffs (skipper), Andrew Charles, Laurie Gray and Graeme Hayes.

It was a great day of bowling.

Saturday Pennant commences tomorrow, with division 1 playing away to Kerang Golf and division 2 also away, taking on Cohuna Golf White.

There will be pennant practice every Friday from 3pm and a barbecue afterwards.

A reminder that subs are due and payable to treasurer Graham Douglas or Heather Crichton.

The next committee meeting is Tuesday, October 8 at 7.30pm.
