Good conditions for bowlers

Black Duck Jackpot two bowl triples, played on Tuesday.

30 bowlers played in good conditions. Two game winners were I Roberts, G Pay and L Adams on +13.

Second game winners were K Pay, I Hastie and A Fagg/E Fenton, L Ritchie and R. Douglass on +9.

Jackpot number drawn was -13, with $336 won by J McLeish, D Hall and R Free. If you would like to join in the fun of Black Duck, have your name in by 11am for a 12.30pm start.

Our victors were Robyn Gilbert and Carmel Adams. Congratulations to you both on a game well played.

Well bowlers, you did yourselves proud, with the weather being what it was, cold,wet and windy, then changing to this hot blast, which makes playing good bowls all the more challenging.

What’s that saying, “what doesn’t kill you, will only make you stronger”.

Kerang Golf

Round two of twilight triples was played on Wednesday night.

Winners were Mick Fowler, Harry and Ian Skerri with 33 points.

Runners-up were the Eagles team of Lloyd Murray, Jo Adams-Lobb, and Tom with 32 points.

Top places on the ladder are Niall’s Lions on 60, L Gray (57), Budda Murray (56) and the Miners (53).

Bowls on the wrong bias came from the retired chemist, Jo Adams-Lobb and the rat.
