Across the Greens – Cohuna

Cohuna

TWENTY-SEVEN eager players turned up for our first organised social bowls since Christmas. The happy winners on the day were Peter (s), Alison, Rob and Bernie. Well done guys.

Pennant results on Wednesday were a mixed bag. Cohuna 1 80/12 d Barham 1 47/0. At this stage Cohuna 1 are on top of the ladder by 10 points. Keep up the good work.

Cohuna 2 46/0 lost to Kerang 1 65/12. Cohuna 3 had a very good game against Barham 3, going down by eight shots overall. Cohuna 3 40/2 lost to Barham 3 48/6.

The final of our Club Triples was played on Saturday. In a very close game the happy winners were Trevor (s), Noddy and Mark, congratulations.

Unfortunately there was no Saturday pennant this week due to weather conditions.

Sunday was our Star Day Tournament. All clubs were represented and we thank them for coming. Several three game winners, but the final result went to Brian Bowles (s), Wayne Brooks, Bryan Main and Barb Hildebrand, well done.

Congratulations to the Northern District Ladies who won their event at Murray Downs on Sunday. Our club was represented by Alison Ainger, well done Ally.

Hope to see you all early Tuesday, looks like it will be warm again. Names in or out by 9.15am please.
