BIRCHIP Grey are the premiers of Tyrrell Bowling Division, defeating Quambatook last Saturday. The match was very close, with Birchip leading by two shots after 13 ends. Mick Coleman’s rink kept Quamby in the hunt, being 19 up at one stage, while the other two rinks were trailing. After the break, Glenn McKissack and John Ritchie improved their position but Mick’s opponents fought back and the final margin was 13 shots in favour of Birchip. Birchip Grey also had a win in Division 2, defeating Woomelang by 10 shots, 49/39.
