Across the Greens – Cohuna

PERFECT weather for bowls at the moment and quite a few social bowlers on the greens.

Tuesday winners on the day were Alan (s), Jeff, Keith and Bill.

The final of the ladies pairs was also played on Tuesday. Rhonda and Marian defeated Katie and Judy. Good game but too good. Congratulations to both of you.

Wednesday saw the final of the mixed pairs. Wayne and Katie defeated Rick and Gaye.

The men’s handicap pairs was decided on Friday night. Giggles and Noddy got up in a very tight game. Some excellent bowls were played, and very enjoyable for the spectators.

The fours final was played Saturday morning. Winners were Brian B, Marj, Bryan M and Gaye who defeated Jeff, Alison, Keith and Corale.

Presentation night was Saturday evening which was well attended with a meal provided by the Bunyips.

It has been a very good year for our club, winning both midweek and Saturday Division 1 Pennant flags.

These were presented to the club by president Bill. The Saturday team went on to win the regionals and the midweek team missed out by just two shots.

All other winners over the season were presented with awards sponsored by the club. Entertainment by Honest Ken topped off a great night.

The regional winning team now goes to Moama this weekend to play in the State Pennant Finals.

The club wishes them all the very best.

It is such an honour to be able to represent your club at this level. Play well and enjoy the experience. Spectators are most welcome to give them encouragement and support.

Our AGM is Wednesday next week at the clubhouse.
