IN true form, not even a week of pretty lousy weather can keep a bowler away from the greens.
Excellent roll-ups on Tuesday, Friday night and Saturday, with a good smattering of visitors to swell the ranks.
Tuesday’s social winners were Ian H, Noelene and Keith, with Noddy’s team the runners-up. Twenty-six players participated.
Friday night began with socialising followed by another delicious tea of rissoles and sausages. Then the heaters came on and the carpets were rolled out for a fun evening of carpet bowls.
Winners were Mark and Richard and thanks again to Dallas and Stuart for organising the competition.
Dallas gets his name in print once again this week. He, along with Barb and Corale, produced two good winning games to take the prizes for Saturday’s social bowls. Competition was keen as 34 players, including visitors, enjoyed their afternoon bowls.
On Saturday, the big jackpot was taken out by Ian Coates, who looked very pleased with his winnings on the Facebook page.
Everyone thought he was going to shout, but holidays were calling. Well done, Coatsey, and enjoy your time away.
