Across the Greens

Cohuna

LAST Tuesday had 27 players enjoying their bowls in fine conditions.

The greens are in excellent condition, due to the voluntary work of Keith and many others who maintain a very high standard for our bowlers to enjoy.

Your efforts do not go unnoticed.

There were seven visitors and lots of donations for the raffle table, all adding interest to the day.

Social bowls winners after two games of 10 ends were Marj, Corale and Ken H.

The teams were evenly matched, indicating that the new match committee is doing a fine job.

Honest Ken’s resting toucher’s prizes went to Pat Q and Noddy – accurate bowling there boys.

Carpet bowls winners on Friday night were Alison and Rhonda. They were part of a small group who enjoyed chicken schnitzels for dinner followed by a fun night of bowls.

Nice to see Peter Coates joining us. Peter is almost a regular on Tuesdays, too, and he and Keith played very well on Friday night to go down in a count back.

Thanks to Keith “Mr Versatile”, Ken, Kay and Alison for a joint effort in the kitchen, another lovely meal was enjoyed by all.

Saturday’s social competition winners were Dallas, Maurice and Marian and well done to them.

There were 32 players, a beautiful day and lots of visitors once again.

The jackpot did not go off so it will be well worth turning up next week.
