ANOTHER busy week at the Cohuna greens. There’s always something happening, even in the quiet season before pennant starts.
Thirty-one players turned up for social bowls last Tuesday, and in perfect weather the only two-game winners were Ann, Richard, Peter C and Tilly. Well done, team. Some good pennant form emerging.
Very popular on Friday night were the cash prizes awarded for the winners of the resting touchers at carpet bowls. In the money were Dallas, Rhonda, Ray and Stuart.
Thanks to the sponsor of the cash prizes, a very generous gesture.
Saturday’s social bowls saw 26 payers turn up on a chilly but fine afternoon. Winners were Rhonda, Maurie and Sue.
Their team scored 56 points with Mark Southern’s team runners up.
Our members holidaying up north continue to experience success with their bowls.
Congratulations to the main team of Brian and Marg who had a win at Bargara.
Also in fine form were Jeff R and Mick C who represented Cohuna at sunny Buderim during the week.
