THE Men’s and Ladies Singles Club Championships were played recently.

In the ladies event it was a titanic battle that lasted two hours 40 minutes as Lyn Betson and Amber Wood went end for end until Lyn finally broke clear to win 26/20.

The men’s event was also a close contest between Dale Williams and Peter Schlitz, until Dale lifted his game another notch, going on to win 26/17.

This is Dale’s third consecutive win, as well as taking out the Tyrrell Champion of Champions last year.

Saturday pennant began again this week. Div 1 trailed at the break but all teams finished strongly to record a comfortable win over Berri. Div 2 also had a big win and are sitting on top of the ladder.
