Black Duck Jackpot Triples continues every Tuesday. Last week, 30 players turned out to enjoy the day.
It was Barry Theobald, David King and Don Jenkins proving to be the best of the two-game winners with plus-13 to claim the prize.
John (Stretch) Duckworth, Marlene Rawson and Jenny Harrison had a blinder in their second game and claimed that prize with plus-22.
With no team 30 shots down over all, the elusive jackpot increases to $90 this week. Names in by 11am for a 12.30pm start please.
Saturday’s social bowls was played in glorious sunshine as those present enjoyed 2x4x2 pairs.
Congratulations to Murray Sutherland and Rob Curtis who proved to be the strongest pair on the day.
Alyne Fagg, Tige Neville and Don Monaghan represented the club at Swan Hill’s triples tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
Kevin Teasdale played in a composite team with Graeme Hayes (Kerang Golf) and Mike Tempini (Lake Boga).
Both teams managed to have the highest winning score in one game each to have their entry fee refunded.
Kevin also collected a fuel voucher in the raffle on Saturday to round off a great couple of days.
On Thursday we will host the fourth round of the ladies five-week winter series.
All are enjoying the camaraderie of these days together. The series concludes at Cohuna Golf next week.
We are all pleased to hear that Bob McBain is on the mend after another visit to the Bendigo. Hope to see you on the greens soon, Bob.
