MURRABIT travelled up to Woorinen for a mid-table B Grade clash with the Tigers, with the Blues winning the toss and deciding to set the tone by batting first.
Murrabit were able to rally around a speedy 105 from 62 balls by Jack Campbell, who hit the boundary 17 times, with 20 runs from Simon Kelly and 23 from Adam Ridley assisting the visitors in scoring 5/207.
Darren Rushton was the pick of the Woorinen bowlers with 2/25 from his eight overs.
Woorinen, as we’ve seen all season, combined well as a team, with nearly every batter reaching double figures.
Mitchell Uhlhorn scored a handy 70 and Paul Johnson remained unbeaten on 42 to help steer the Tigers to victory in the 37th over.
Barham Koondrook took no chances on a 37-degree day by sending Swan Hill in to bat, with Josh Powley tearing through the Swans line-up by taking 4/20.
Outside of some resistance from Johannes Diederiks (27), the Swans limped to a total of 77 when bowled out in the 30th over.
Jacob Barrington didn’t waste time chasing down Swan Hill’s total, scoring 48 from 26 balls and seeing most of the total tick away, with the Raiders cleaning up the win in the 15th over.
Wandella hosted Tooleybuc on the Western Oval and led the way by batting first, with Leigh Hollingworth (41), Mick Bott (43) and Troy Banfield (49) all contributing to an impressive 9/188.
Unfortunately for the traveling Tooleybuc team, their batsmen never managed to fire, bowled out for 67, with Mason Cordwell the pick of the Bombers bowlers, taking 3/21.
Kerang hosted RSL at Riverside Park, with both teams struggling this season and desperate for a win.
Kerang won the toss and then batted out their 40 overs to set a target of 154, with Scott Wishart (36) and Tyler Schmidt (26) the leading figures.
In reply, RSL chipped away at the total slowly to begin with, before Aaron Gaut (79) was partnered by youngster Jasper Munro (18 of 79 balls).
The inexperience in the Kerang team, minus opening bowler Jon Roberts and injured captain Rob Bright, saw RSL take their second win of the season, reaching their target in the 37th over.
