COHUNA

THE drought has broken at Cohuna Golf Club following Sunday’s double Pennant victory.

Both our Division 1 and 2 teams completed the mission over Lalbert at home in fine style. Well done everyone involved.

Saturday’s Stableford saw the god form continue for Mal Appleby with 38 and Alan Moloney having another good round with 37. Doug Peace scored 36 and Trevor Farrant came in next best with 35. NTPs went to Evan Meredith on 2, Mal Appleby on 8 and 17, with Alan Walkington on 11.

Sunday’s even was also Stableford and for the ladies (and keeping the weekend’s success well and truly in the household) was Linda Moloney with 37 from Robyn McGraw with 33. For the men, Kevin Dehne came out on top with 38 from Bob Nichols with 37 and a countback was employed to split Greg Roberts and Dennis McGlone on 34. KERANG

Ladies golf on May 25

It was great to have some old faces return to bring our field to 13. Angela Giouzellis (34) had an excellent day with 40 points. Joyce, Chrissy, and Michelle D were in the ball pool. Michelle Baker birdied the 7th which was a very good effort. Joyce had nearest the pin on the 9th.

Friday is our Gold Watch tournament, and we look forward to welcoming players from several clubs. The course is looking terrific thanks to all our workers.

Thursday R&R Stableford on May 26

Only 10 players today, as it was a drizzly start to play, but it did brighten up during the afternoon. The winner was Gary Pay (17) with 42 points. Ball Pool Gary Pay 42, Kevin Lane 37 and jean Youl 35. NTPs 3rd G Pay, 9th A Free, 13th J Youl, 5th and 16th went begging.

Wishart Jewellers Gold Watch on May 27
