A SHORTER report this week as the R&R competition was washed out last Thursday.

On Saturday, Blake Gibson had a very good day with +5 in the par competition, well ahead of Bruce Bird with +1 and Murray Gregg finishing even.

Nearest to pins (NTP) went to Trevor Farrant on 2, David Mann on 8 with Murray Gregg taking 11 and 17.

Sunday’s ladies comp was stableford and Sandra Griffiths had the best score with 34 from Ros Dunne with 33. Helen Thies took NTP on 2 and 8, Genevieve Hare on 11 and Ros Dunne on 17.

It was the second round of the men’s club championships and the best score of the day was recorded by Mark Bishop, handing in a nett 70 on countback from Peter Doyle, with Brenton Smyth scoring nett 70.

NTP went to Liam Pascoe on 2, Brenton Smyth on 8, Bruce Winship on 11 and Dennis McGlone on 17.
