Down the Fairways – Kerang

Kerang

It was a very pleasing day for members at Kerang golf course with 36 players attempting to (one) get back into the swing of the game after a month of no play and (two) attacking the hordes of mosquitoes that were very savage. Nobody needed to have a blood transfusion to my knowledge!

The event was Monthly Medal Stroke and looking at the scores it was a tough day out for all. The eventual winner was Doug Ellwood scoring 92-22=70. The lady’s winner was Michelle Dillon scoring 84-10=74. The best stroke score went to Chris Waterson with 77.

Others in the ball pool were J Murphy 71, K Lane 72, and G Wyte, D Meehan, B Shay and G Teasdale all on 73.

NTPs went to K Lane third, B Shay fifth, P Jones ninth, R Pay super pin and D Ellwood 16th.

The few wet areas will dry out if no further rain falls on the course and then the mowers can get into it.
