Kerang

EIGHT ladies trusted the weather forecast and set off to play stroke/monthly medal on Wednesday.

It was very hard going, however our captain Michelle Dillon won the day with 74 net.

The putting competition (26 putts) and nearest the pin on the 9th were also won by Michelle. Carol Dear (75 net) and Lorraine Bray (80 net) were in the ball pool.

Our Gold Watch Tournament will be on May 26 (4BBB) so note the date and try to support this event.

Next week is 9.30am for 10am start and all players are welcome.

A larger field turned up for Thursday’s R&R Stableford event, played in good conditions.

The day’s winner was Chris Waterson with 36 points from Terry Turvey, finding some form, with 35 points.

Ball pool L Hadfield 33, T Laughlin and T Hall both with 32 points. NTPs went to P Lloyd on 3, D Meehan on 9, G Wyte on 13 and G Teasdale on 16.

A small field braved the cold, windy conditions for Saturday’s monthly medal stroke that saw Blake Shay win with 81-9=72. The ladies winner was Jan Harry with 83-11=72.

At Sunday’s Pennant finals, Kerang’s Division 2 side won their grand final match against Lalbert three matches to two at Lakeside Golf Club. Team was S Harry, David Knight, Brendan Shields, Deaniee Henderson and Ron Schultze. Congratulations to you all.
