Kerang

AFTER a very cold start, the ladies enjoyed their Wednesday Stableford round. Meagan Taylor was the winner with 32 points, so the new sticks must be working well.

Runner-up was Joyce Boyd with 30 points on countback and Rhonda Willoughby was in the ball pool with 30 points.

Angela Morton had some difficulty teeing off and the out-of-bounds rule.

However, Angela had nearest the pin on the 9th. Next week’s play will be for the monthly medal.

For Thursday’s R&R Stableford, the good weather brought out 30 golfers.

Good scores were to be had and it was captain Jack who got the win with 41 points, closely followed by Wayne O’Neill, Tony Hall and Greg Gin, all on 40 points, Ron Schultze on 39 and Tony Laughlin on 37 points.

NTPs went to K. Lane on the 3rd, J. Hewitt on the 5th & 9th, Ken Williams on the 13th (welcome back) and P. Lloyd on the 16th.

With fine weather continuing, 36 Members entered the Saturday Stableford competition.

The ladies’ winner was the youngest member, Mabel Spitty, with 35 points on a countback from Joyce Boyd.

In the men’s section Graham Wyte was the winner also on a countback from Bryan Livingston on 35 points.

Other ball pool winners were B. Shay, S. Harry, T. Hall, all on 34 points, and A. Free and C. Wilkie on 33.

NTPs went to J. Harry on the 3rd, P. Lloyd 5th, K. Lane 9th, A. Spitty 13th and B. Shay 16th.
