THE warmer weather has started to get some more golfers out and about and 12 ladies contested the par competition on Wednesday.

The winner was Meagan Taylor (19), who scored +4 ahead of Marg Learmonth at -1 and Rhonda Willoughby -4 on a countback from Jenny Waterson.

Chino’s NTP went to Ange Morton.

Thursday’s R&R event attracted 37 entries, the highest number the scribe can recall.

Terry Turvey won the event scoring 40 points. Ball pool went to Chris Waterson (shot 72) and Graham Wyte 39, Chris Gray 38, Max Wilson and J. Hewitt 37, and welcome back Ken Williams 36 countback.

NTP went to G. Wyte 3rd, C. Waterson 5th, A. Free 9th, D. Ellwood 13th and Ron Schultze 16th.

Another great day for golf, with 37 entries for the par event on Saturday.

The winner of the men’s section, with a great score of +6, was Greg McNeil (23).

The winner of the ladies’ section with a score of +1 was Joyce Boyd (27). Ball pool went to W. O’Neill (23) +3, A. Free (19) and G. Wyte (13) +2, J. Boyd (27) +1, Jenny and Chris Waterson (17 and 4), G. Pay (17) and R. Laughlin (33) on square. The scoring went down to -9.

NTP went to Jan Harry 3rd, C Waterson 5th, John Ackland 9th, J. Waterson 13th and no one got the 16th.

Upcoming is the Visual Appeal four-person Ambrose on Friday, September 29. Any combination. Bring a plate for lunch.

Gold Watch 4BBB is on Sunday, October 1.

Ladies club championships on October 4, 11 and 18. Men’s on October 7, 14 and 21.
