Kerang course closed due to rain

THERE was no ladies event or R&R this week due to rain causing the closure of the course.

But the monthly medal event went ahead on Saturday.

The course was still drying out so it was pleasing to see some very good scores.

The ladies winner was Michelle Dillon with 84-9=75.

The men’s winner was David Gray, also with 84-16=68.

Others in the ball pool were J. Tartaglia and P. Lloyd with net 70, G. Teasdale and P. Hall net 71, L. Hogg and T. Laughlin net 72 and B. Gibson net 74.

Nearest to the pins were: 3rd T. Turvey, 5th J. Tartaglia, 13th T. Laughlin and 16th G. Teasdale.

As of Sunday, the golf course was again closed until further notice due to heavy rainfall.
