THE ladies did get to play on Wednesday for the monthly medal – skies were a little threatening, but nothing happened.

The winner was Jan Harry, 87-11=76. Others in the ball pool were Jean Youl with 93-22=71, Meryl Cameron 95-18=77 and Michelle Dillon 86-9=77.

Chino’s nearest to the pin on the 9th went to Michelle Dillon.

The winner of a new pen was Nola Robinson with 83 net.

There were some ugly clouds around for Thursday’s R&R Stableford, but we got through without any rain.

A great turnout on Australia Day eve, with 24 members playing, and it was John Pay who got the best of the course with 42 points.

Others in the ball pool were G. Service 39, B. Shay 38, S. Phillips 37 and P. Lloyd (on a five-way countback) with 35.

Nearest the pins went to 3rd and 9th B. Shay, 5th T. Turvey, 13th C. Waterson and 16th D. Meehan.

On Australia Day, 71 golfers turned out to play this four-person Ambrose in good conditions.

Lots of laughter could be heard across the course.

The winners were Laine Harry, Cody Tuoey, Martin Kelly and Josh Free with a score of net 53.125.

Runners-up were James Meehan Sr, Doug Meehan, Bromlyn Good and Karen McKissack with a score of net 56.375.

Longest drive ladies was Kate Bartels, men was Rob O’Bree, nearest the line were Jan Harry and Greg Gin.

NTP went to 3rd L. Hadfield, 5th B. Gladman, 9th C. Waterson, 13th P. Lloyd and 16th K. Free.

Another good day for golf on Saturday, 27 members and visitors played par.

The ladies winner was a visitor Karen Mahady on -1. Men’s winner was Scott Harry +2.
