Kerang

A GOOD-sized field of 14 entered ladies Stableford competition on Wednesday.

The winner, with 36 points, was Deanne Free, closely followed by Shirley Jenner, with 33.

Others in the ball pool were M. Learmonth and J. Boyd. Chino’s nearest to pin went to Nola Robinson.

It was certainly hot out in the windy plains of Kerang for Thursday’s R&R Stableford.

The hot temperatures plus very strong winds played their part in keeping the scores lower than previous weeks.

Only 15 hardy souls set off. The man of the hour was Tony Laughlin with 35. In the ball pool were A. Free and T. Hall both on 34.

NTP went to T. Laughlin 3rd, A. Free 5th, J. Tartaglia 9th, C. Waterson 13th and B. Shields 16th.

Pennant will be at Rich River West Course on Sunday. So far, Kerang has lost both previous matches, here’s hoping for a better result this week, good luck.

A field of 42 took part in the Saturday Stableford competition.

The winner of the day was Col Wilkie with 41 from David Gray also 41.

Ball pool went to R. Fabry 39, B. Shay 38, C. Waterson 37, K. Chase, J. Boyd, P. Hall and T. Laughlin all on 35 count back.
