Frosty start to medal round

Kerang

ON a rather cold morning, six brave ladies set out to contest the Monthly Medal on Wednesday.

First, they had to kick the frost off the ground.

The winner was Chrissy Downes with 90-20-70. Next came Carol Dear with 97-25-72 and third was Rosie Laughlin with 127-48=79. Chino’s NTP went to Chrissy Downs.

With quite a few social golfers on the course during the school holidays, we had 22 members play Stableford on Thursday.

The winner was Tony Hall with 40 points.

The ball pool went to C. Gray on 38, D. Ellwood and G. Wyte on 35 on a countback.

NTP went to G. Wyte on the 3rd, P. Jones the 5th, L. Hadfield the 9th and T. Laughlin the 13th.

A quality field of 21 men and five women played great golf on Saturday for the Monthly Medal.

All enjoyed the course in great condition and the club welcomed visitors Peter and Cameron Morris.

Stephen Phillips was the winner of the medal on 86-17-69.

The ball pool went to Peter Jones on 70, Gary Pay on 71, Gary Service on 73, David Wood on 73 and Jack Hewitt on 73.

The ladies’ winner was Karyl Hewitt on 110-37-73.

NTP went to Blake Shay on the 3rd and 5th, Gavin Teasdale on the 9th, David Woods on the 13th and Jack Hewitt on the 16th.

Next Sunday is Lakeside’s 100-year celebration with a 4BBB any combination.
