Cohuna

The tennis season finally got started on Saturday, when the rain held off and most divisions were able to get out on the court.

Division 1 travelled to Kerang for a rematch of last year’s grand final, with Kerang coming out winners.

The men had a hard day, going down by 12 games. The ladies fared better and were up by seven games, but the mixed were down by seven game,s and a win to Kerang of 12 games.

Shirlene was best for the day winning three sets.

In Division 3 all matches were declared a draw.

The juniors also played Kerang and fought hard to go down by five games. Well done boys.

Saturday morning juniors will be starting next Saturday morning.

The club has spare racquets for juniors who would like to try tennis but don’t have a racquet, so they are most welcome to turn up Saturday morning at 9am and give it a try.

Twilight tennis will be starting on Tuesday, November 22 at 6 pm. Anyone who would like to play please ring Mary on 5456 2384. Enter as a pair or a single entry. Everyone welcome.
