CARRYING a wallet could soon be a thing of the past, with the Victorian Government accelerating towards a digital driver’s licence.

The government this month announced it would give motorists the option to carry their licence on their phones through the Service Victoria app.

Finally catching up with New South Wales, a trial in Ballarat will start in July before a statewide roll-out by 2024.
