A NUMBER of towering Norfolk Island pine trees have been removed from a property in Kerang.

The trees were removed from the front of a Nolan Street property, near Burgoyne Street, due to safety concerns about the weight of limbs should they break away.

The location of the trees - opposite St Joseph's Primary School and nearby to Kerang District Health - were also factors in the decision.
