CROWDS at the Cohuna Anzac Day memorial service heard a special rendition of the New Zealand national anthem, sung by a familiar face for many.

Mardi Gow (nee Ross) grew up in Cohuna and was a regular fixture performing at the historic local Thursday night dances.
