Police round-up

GANNAWARRA

Impound: On Thursday, January 2, police located a black sedan parked in William Street, Cohuna, with fraudulent number plates. The vehicle was impounded.

Theft from caravan: Between 12pm Christmas Eve and 2pm New Year’s Eve, offenders forced entry to a caravan parked off King George Street, Cohuna, and stole a 12-volt television.

Assaults: Cohuna Police are investigating a series of assaults that have occurred over the past few days.

Motorcycle theft: Between 11.30am and 2.30pm on Friday, January 3, a red Honda quad bike was stolen from a property on the Boort-Kerang Road in Dingwall. The bike had a spray unit on the back.

Burglary: Between December 22 and 31, offenders forced entry to a sporting complex in the Wandella area. It appears at this stage that nothing was taken from the premises.

Burglary: Between 5pm Wednesday, January 1, and 11am on January 3, offenders entered a shed at a property in Myall and stole a fuel trailer and fuel from a tractor.

Theft: Overnight on Friday, January 3, two-stroke fuel, rigging gear and a tackle box were stolen from the Koondrook boat ramp area. It appears there have been several thefts and damage in the area around the same time, although not all have been reported to police. Stolen fuel cans were located in Gunbower forest. Anyone who has been the victim of theft or damage is encouraged to report it to police.

Bicycle theft: A bicycle was stolen from the front yard of a home in Grigg Road, Koondrook, between December 30 and January 3.


SWAN HILL

Burglary: Between 11am Saturday, January 4, and 8.30am the following day, a Stihl blower/vac was stolen from the rear of a ute parked at an address in Splatt Street. A Honda whipper snipper was stolen from a back shed.


ROBINVALE

House fire: On the evening of Sunday, January 5, a fire started at a home in Cuttle Court. CFA and police attended. The occupants escaped, with one male treated for burns and smoke inhalation. The home was destroyed, with the cause under investigation.

Theft: On New Year’s Eve, a 40-year-old male went to an address in Cleary Drive and stole a golf club from a vehicle parked at the address. On arrest, the male made threats of harm to police. He was charged and later bailed to attend court at a later date.


BULOKE

Theft from motor vehicles: In the early hours of Friday, January 3, offenders gained entry to numerous vehicles in the Wycheproof township.
