ANOTHER large field for golf at Thursday’s R&R Stableford.

The day had 31 members playing in bright, sunny conditions with cooling winds.

The winner with a great score of 41 points was David Knight. Ball pool went down to 35 points.

With football finals on, numbers were down for Saturday’s Stableford event, which had a surprise for members, as captain Jack decided to incorporate a Super 6 event also. This event had a secret three holes on the front nine and three holes on the back nine.

The winner of this event was Doug Ellwood, with 15 points, and Col Wilkie was runner-up on 14 points.

The ladies Stableford winner was Joyce Boyd, with 31 points, and the men’s winner was Col Wilkie with 41 points from Ray Gannon on 38 points.

Others in the ball pool were D. Ellwood, C. Waterson and R. Nesbit, all on 35 points.

NTP went to R. Delamare on the 3rd, G. Wyte on the 5th, J. Pay on the 9th, C. Gray on 13th.

LAST Saturday was the final round for the season which was followed by the annual award presentations. Winners were:

B Grade Scratch: A. Graham. Handicap: W. Brady

Northern District Medal: R. Sharples.

Knock Out: A. Graham.

Monthly Medals: A. Graham, B. Lake, R. McKenzie, D. Drummond, J. Ficken, R, Sharples.

Nethercote Shield: J. Ficken.

Geoff Brady Memorial Trophy: A. Graham.

Drummond Golfer of the Year: A. Graham.
