Ladies Stableford – Wednesday, 30 October

Fifteen ladies played, which included seven from Lakeside Golf Club, who were playing for The Brooch.

The overall winner was Shirley Jenner scoring (23) 39 points, next was Nola Robinson (25) and Meagan Taylor (16) both on 36 points with Michelle Dillon (12) on 35 points.

For the Lakeside ladies, Laurel Dewhurst won the brooch, while the nearest the pins on the 3rd and 9th holes were won by M.Taylor.

R & R Stableford – Thursday, October 31

Twenty four members played and the winner was Max Wilson with 39 points, followed by Peter Jones 37 points, Doug Ellwood 36 points, P. Lloyd 35 points, Shane Dibsdale and Blake Shay 34 points.

The nearest the pins were won by W. O’Neill (3rd), G. Service (5th), J. Youl (9th), C. Waterson (13th) and B. Shay (16th).

Monthly Medal – Saturday, November 2

A strong field was contesting the stroke event, with our newly minted president coming out firing and scored the win with 83-19=64, followed by Ray Gannon 97-27=70, W. O’Neill 91-21=70, D. Meehan 78-7=71, D. Wood 81-10=71, B. Shay 79-8=71.

For the ladies, Jean Youl powered around the course for 88-20=68, with Donna Grant the next best with 93-22=71 as was Joyce Boyd with 97-26=71. The nearest the pins were won by L. Hadfield (3rd), C. Gillen (5th), B. Gobson (9th), A. Free (13th) and B.J. Hewitt (16th).

Reminder on Thursday that the club will have no power until 4pm, that means no eftpos, so please bring cash, also no printer or computer. I will use a laptop in the office.

With our tournament coming soon on November 28, 30 and December 1, some help in the starter’s box would be appreciated.
