Water loss worries

THE Central Murray Environmental Floodplains Group (CMEFG) claims 360,000 megalitres of Victorian water will come out of the Goulburn and Murray system due to floodplain harvesting.

The group said these changes would take place in the wake of new water regulations pushed by NSW Water Minister Melinda Pavey.

CMEFG said the legislation would allow floodplain harvesting in the Darling Baaka Rivers ...
