CHARLIE Gillingham will serve as Gannawarra Shire mayor for a third consecutive term after being elected to the helm at a meeting yesterday.

Cr Gillingham fought off councillors Jane Ogden, Garner Smith and Keith Link for the position, after urging councillors to consider "stability".
