Bicycle theft on the rise
PEOPLE have been reminded to secure their bicycles after one was stolen from a carport in Kerang.
Police alleged that between October 15 and 17, a bicycle was stolen from a Cleeland Place property in Kerang.
Dagger find
POLICE found a man in Cohuna allegedly in possession of a dagger.
Kerang police Senior Sergeant Michael Kearnes said the man was intercepted by Cohuna police on October 18.
The man will receive a summons to attend court for possessing a prohibited weapon.
Offensive graffiti
POLICE are continuing enquiries into what was believed to be offensive words graffitied at a public place in Cohuna.
Sen-Sgt Kearnes said between October 15 and 16, unknown offender/s spray painted offensive words on the scoreboard at the Cohuna Skate Park and Cohuna Recreation Reserve.
Tools stolen from shed
GARDEN tools and a power blower are believed to have been taken from a Kerang property.
The items were allegedly taken from a shed at the rear of a Marne Street premises by unknown offenders between noon on September 14 and 9pm on October 11.
Porch pinch
A SCOOTER left on a porch on Lyall Avenue in Kerang has been nabbed.
Swan Hill police Senior Constable Travis Collier said the theft was reported to police on October 16, but said the Prodigy brand scooter was believed to be stolen between August 14 and 21.
