ONE of Australia's biggest temporary workforces will soon be clocking on as the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) sets off on its 10-yearly recruitment drive.

The ABS is now looking to appoint 20,000 field officers across the country - including 5060 in Victoria - to help deliver the 2021 Census on August 10.
