THE Nationals leader Peter Walsh has pledged his support to new Opposition Leader Matthew Guy, saying Mr Guy has strong ties to Swan Hill.

Mr Guy took the leadership after former leader Michael O'Brien stepped down when a spill motion was carried last Tuesday.

Mr Guy was Opposition Leader at the 2018 state election defeat.
