URBAN water customers in Lake Boga have been urged to cease all garden and lawn watering due to a fault and high summer usage.
Lower Murray Water issued the important advice on Monday.
"We're currently experiencing very high demand on urban water supplies in Lake Boga," the statement said.
"Due to a supply line leak and high usage from the heat, customers are asked to cease all garden and lawn watering and any non-essential use until storages are refilled.
"If you are leaving your property, please turn off any sprinklers using urban water and do not leave any taps running."
LMW said it would provide further advice on Tuesday on the resumption of full service.
