THE Victorian Game Management Authority has announced a reduced duck hunting season will go ahead this year.

The shortened season will run for 20 days starting Wednesday, May 26, with a bag limit of two ducks per day.

Out of the eight game species in Victoria, the Grey Teal and Chestnut Teal will have restricted hunting areas, while the Blue-winged Shoveler cannot be hunted at all this season.
