Deception: Over a 14 day period, the victim withdrew sizable amounts of cash from her bank and gave them to a person who contacted her purporting to be from her bank. She handed over an amount of $58,000. The person said they were investigating employee theft. Cohuna police were contacted by a concerned business operator in town who thought things didn't seem right. Police intercepted the persons of interest in Margaret Street, unfortunately the victim had already given them the cash. This investigation is ongoing.

Theft: Between 5pm, Tuesday, February 18 and 6.30am the following day, a Makita blower and whipper snipper were stolen from the shed of a business in King George Street, Cohuna.
