Police round-up

Threatened with snake

A MAN has been charged this week after a bizarre incident in which he allegedly approached police with a snake at his Mead property last October.

Police went to the property to perform a welfare check after a recently deceased cow was seen in the driveway.

Officers were then confronted with an intoxicated male who was holding a Eastern Brown snake and approaching them in an aggressive manner.

He has been charged with failing to hold a permit to possess wildlife.

Theft at farm

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an alleged theft at a Tragowel property earlier this month.

Offenders drove into a Reaper Lane paddock on February 14, where a tractor and trailer were parked containing chemicals and equipment.

Twelve 20-litre drums of Hassen, a petrol transfer pump and assorted tools were stolen.

Police processed the scene, and are looking for witnesses.
