Hospital board changes

SIX new members have been appointed to the board of management of Cohuna District Hospital.

The board also oversees the operations of the hospital’s nursing home.

The appointments come after several long-serving members retired this year, including Cr Lorraine Learmonth, Ron Stanton, George Payne, Geoff Hall, and Graeme Smith.

Mandy Hutchinson is also retiring and is moving on to the role of chief executive officer at Northern District Community Health Service this month.

The current Victorian Government has a policy of reviewing the appointment of board members who have served for nine years.

The new members are Nicole Bourke, Ross Dallimore, Adam Dowell, Sam Manduskar, Alison Patrick, and Rick Henery.

Previous board chair Lois Drummond has also been reappointed as a board member.

The board comprises 11 volunteers from the surrounding Cohuna region who report to the Victorian Minister for Health, Jill Hennessey.
