Bennett a ‘Roo?

FORMER E.G. Hunt Medallist, Brodie Bennett is on track to play for 2017 Golden Rivers Football League grand finalists, Ultima in season 2018.

The former Quambatook player has only played one game for the Saints since winning the league’s top honour in 2015.

Bennett is the biggest name to seek a clearance during the 30-day period paperwork can be lodged prior to Christmas.

Moulamein has been the busiest club in the region so far, with Luke Henery (Balranald) and Ben Seton-Stewart (Tyntynder) all approved to move to the Swans from neighbouring clubs.

Nyah-Nyah West United’s Jason Manning is also aiming to play for the New South Wales-based club in 2018.

Meanwhile, a number of key players will seek opportunities elsewhere.

Jessi Lampi will transfer from Macorna to Western Region Football League side, Point Cook, whilst former Moulamein midfielder, Xavia Elford will play with CMFNL side, Tooleybuc/Manangatang.

Joshua Stone will return to the CMFNL after one season at Ultima, this time with 2017 grand finalists, Woorinen, whilst Adrian Knee (Nyah-Nyah West United) and Jordan Weekly (Balranald) are set to play with the ‘Roos in 2018.

Clearance applications close on November 30 before re-opening on February 1.
