IN the ladies’ stableford on Wednesday, 12 golfers were entered.

The weather and course were in very good condition and Joyce Boyd was the winner with 38 points.

The ball pool went to Shirley Jenner on 36 and Angela Morton on 35.

Chino’s nearest-the-pin ninth voucher was claimed by Shirley Jenner.

On Thursday, at R&R stableford, 26 members and guests entered the competition and again the course and weather was perfect for golf.

The winner was Kevin Sambrooks with 38 points.

The ball pool went to D. Knight on 37, G. Teasdale and S. Dibsdale on 36, G. Wyte and M. Wilson on 35 on countback.

NTP went to S. Dibsdale on the 3rd, G. Teasdale on the 13th, 5th and 16th and D. Meehan on the the 9th.

A fabulous day was held on Friday with 56 players participating in the annual ladies autumn tournament.

We are so grateful for the large number of women who travelled from Wedderburn, Barham, Murray Downs, Lakeside, Cohuna, Boort, Charlton and Pyramid Hill.

The winners with a fantastic score of 44 were mother-and-daughter combo Jenny Lynas and Tamika Hogan from Murray Downs Golf and Country Club on a countback from Wendy Bennett and Maxine Power from CluBarham Golf & Sports Club.

Ball pool run down: Shirley Jenner/Nola Robinson 42, Jan Milne/Chrissy Downs 42, Jenny Waterson/Leanne McCulloch-Ball 41.

NTP: 3rd Jean Youl, 5th and 9th Mandy Male, 13th Glenda Bird and 16th Meryl Cameron.

The pen award went to Di Johnson/Dot Beattie.

On Saturday 26 members played stableford and Jan Harry won the ladies’ event with 38 points and Brian Gibson the men’s with 37 points.

Ball pool winners were J. Waterson on 36, R. Schultze on 36, C. Waterson on 35, P. Jones and M. Dillon on 33.

NTPs: 3rd J. Harry, 5th K. Chase, 9th B. Gibson, 13th P. Hall and 16th M. Dillon.

Sunday pennant results for Kerang versus Deniliquin at Murray Downs:

* Division 1 Kerang lost to Deniliquin 4/1 (A. Spitty the only winner)

* Division 2 Kerang won 3/2 (winners B. Shields, B. Gillingham and S. Harry)

* Division 3 Kerang won 4/1 (winners M. Spitty, D. Henderson, D. Knight and K. Lane).

Kerang Division 3 have gone into next Sunday’s final at Cohuna.
