Team McKnight wins Ambrose

A VERY good field of 76 members and guests contested the annual Golconda 4 Person Ambrose last Monday.

The winners were team McKnight with Nathan, Brent and Ashley McKnight plus Simon Kelly with a winning score of 55 nett.

Runners-up were team Lakeside with Deanne, Kelvi and Nathan Free with Brandon O’Bree with a score of 55.15 nett.

Third place went to team Barham with Warren, Gary and Danny Lolicato with Matt Voglis with 57 nett.

Ball pool went to team Kerang with Joyce Boyd, Geraldine Kennedy, Ron Schultze and Phil Lloyd with 57.5 nett.

NTP on the 3rd was Lisa Hyne, 5th was Simon Kelly, 9th was Kelvin Free, 13th was Brandon O’Bree and 16th was Matt Voglis.

On a very cold morning, only six hardy ladies ventured out for Wednesday Stableford. The winner was Joyce Boyd with 33 points. Ball pool went to Rowena Henry with 30 points. Chino’s NTP went to Crissy Downs.

A total of 21 members and a visitor from Melbourne set out in the cold to play Thursday R&R Stableford.

Chris Gray had the best of it with 37 points.

Ball pool went to G. Teasdale and J. Murphy on 34 points and Kevin Chase with 33 points on a C/B.

NTP went to visitor Gavan Bean on the 3rd, T. Hall on the 5th, G. Wyte on the 9th, J. Apostolelis on the 13th and G. Teasdale on the 16th.

On Saturday, 26 men and four ladies played Stableford in fine, cool conditions.

The ladies winner, with 34 points, was Olive Spitty. The men’s winner was David Knight with 38 points.

Ball pool went to R. Dick 37, J. Hewitt 36, R. Gannon 34, G. Bean 33 and K. Chase 32.

NTP went to S. Jenner the 3rd, R. Dick the 5th and 9th and A. Spitty on the 16th.
