STEADY and calm golf in tough conditions carried Lake Charm's Olive Spitty to victory in the under 14 girls' section of the Victorian Junior Open, rounding out a successful year for the talented competitor.

Playing against opponents aged 12 and 13, 11-year-old Olive saw off runner-up Sophie Mann of Keysborough Golf Club by 16 shots.
